From account creation to bid and pick up of won items, get all the info you need.

How do I find the exact address to pick up the items I won?

Once you have won and paid for your item(s) you will receive an email to schedule your pick-up time. When you schedule your pick-up time, you will receive the exact address of the pick-up location.

Where can I find the pick-up date and location before an auction ends?

Before bidding closes for an auction, the pick-up date and general location are displayed below the terms and conditions on each item’s page.

How do I pay for items I have won?

Log into your account and click the cart icon next to the search bar. Click “Checkout”, then select your payment method and click “Place Order”.

How do I place a bid?

You cannot place a bid unless you register and create an account. Click on the item you wish to bid on.

How do I know if I am the highest bidder?

To see if you are the highest bidder look at the “bid status” icon on the item’s page. If you are the highest bidder the bid status will be listed as “Highest” and colored green.

What is a buyer’s premium?

A buyer’s premium is a percentage added to the last or final bid to determine the actual selling price that the buyer is required to pay.

Is there sales tax charged for auction items?

Kentucky sale tax is currently 6%. Sales tax will be charged for all items considered “retail sales”.

I have a tax exempt form, how do I submit it?

Email your tax exempt form to us at contact@legacylouisville.com. We will adjust your account to reflect your tax exempt status.

How do I favorite an item?

To keep track of items that you are interested in, you can favorite items by clicking on “watch this item” in the icon dashboard or you can click the heart on the top right corner of the image.

What happens if I don’t pick up?

Please make every effort to attend our posted pick-up times. Due to a project’s constraints, we may not be able to hold items or offer different pick-up times.

Do you ship?

We will ship your item to you using Fragile Pack. Fragile Pack will invoice you separetly for the shipping.

What is a snipe bidder?

A snipe bidder is someone who places a bid right before the time expires in hopes to “snag” an item at the very end and prevent other people from placing more bids.

Why did the auction time get extended?

Our auctions use the popcorn bidding method. If someone places a bid as the time is about to expire, the auction will be extended by 3 minutes to allow for others interested in the item to place their next bid.

How do I place a maximum bid?

Enter the value of your maximum bid into the bid box and place your bid. We will do the rest of the work for you.

Can I return an item?

We do not accept returns. Items are sold as is, where is. However, if we have accidently misrepresented an item in the title or description, please let us know.

Can I retract a bid?

All bids are final, they cannot be retracted. It is expected that you pay for all items that you win at auction.

How do I sort items in a particular way?

Select the drop down box in the top left corner of the screen and choose the method in which you would like to sort the items.

If there are multiple auctions, how can I view items from only a specific auction?

Below the 3 photos at the top of the page there are banners for each of the different auctions that are live.

How do I see what I won?

If an auction has just ended, click on the cart icon to see what you have won. From there you can checkout and schedule your pick-up time.

How do I remove an item from my cart?

If you have old items in your cart, continue through the checkout process and it will give you the option to only pay for a specific auction’s items after you place your order.

How do I add an item to my cart?

Item(s) are added to your cart automatically after you win an item. Click the cart icon in the top right corner to view the items in your cart.

How do I create an account?

In the top right corner of the webpage, click “Sign in” and then click “Create an account”. A valid credit card is required to create an account.

How do I get something delivered locally?

We do not currently offer local delivery. We can ship items through Fragile Pack (https://www.fragilepacklouisville.com)

How can I submit feedback?

Contact us at contact@legacylouisville.com or speak with us during pickup days about any issues you have or improvements we can make.

Who do I contact for what?

Email contact@legacylouisville.com to reach any of our staff members. Visit our “Meet the Team” page for specific email addresses if you would like to contact a specific person.

How do I sell with you?

Let us know if you are interested in selling with us and we will set up a free consultation and answer any questions you have.

How do I choose a time slot to pick up my items?

Once your item is paid for you will receive an email prompting you to schedule a pick-up time. Scheduling a pick-up time is required.

Can I sell a single item?

We offer multiple consignment auctions each year. Send us an email about the items you wish to consign.

Scheduling pick-up process

Do you do previews?

We do not offer previews on all auctions; however this will be handled on a case by case basis.

Do you do bid increments?

Legacy Louisville utilizes specific bid increments. The higher the price of the item, the larger the increments are.
