Bob Nolan, as a young architect, bought the original farmhouse in 1975 with hopes of building a house in the woods. The following year his hopes became reality when he built the cottage in the woods. From then on his love for the outdoors, animals, and fine artwork flourished. Bob and Patti enjoyed visiting local art shows and traveling. On many of their travels they brought back beautiful artwork. Bob and Patti loved animals. Throughout the years they cared for over 20 animals. Bob would feed the wildlife that would visit him daily. He had such a big heart and kind soul. Bob loved his home and no matter how many times his children asked him to move closer, he never gave in. He loved this cottage in the woods.
