We updated the home to enhance the listing for the family and now it has sold for more than they dreamed. What we discovered in the home is unbelievable. During our first meeting with the family, they told us they had President Richard Nixon's college desk. We had to verify this, of course. We brought in Graydon Sikes, the Antiques Roadshow Authenticator and personality. Sikes is the owner of Casa Sikes in Cincinnati. He believed this desk to be authentic! Not only was it signed by President Nixon, but has the name "JB Duke" as well. Trinity College, where Duke and Nixon were educated, was eventually named after Duke's family donated $40 million dollars to the University. Not only is there this legendary desk, but there is an unreal collection of silver and silver plate, we discovered a massive apothecary collection of various colors, antique and mid-century furniture, an assortment of glass wear, antique medical equipment and much much more! This home has so many stories. We are excited to share them with you.
