Description

This is a complete US Army Class A dress green uniform ensemble belonging to a Private First Class who served with the storied 2nd Armored Division, nicknamed Hell on Wheels. The AG-344 wool-polyester blend coat is fully loaded with insignia including crossed rifles on the right collar identifying the Infantry branch, a U.S. disc on the left collar, a Marksman qualification badge with Rifle, Auto Rifle, and Machine Gun bars, a National Defense Service ribbon, a solid blue unit citation ribbon, a light blue fourragere shoulder cord, and a non-regulation Hospitaller knight on horseback enamel pin on the left shoulder. The PFC chevron patch is sewn on the left sleeve below the 2nd Armored Division Hell on Wheels patch, and the coat label reads 60 percent polyester 40 percent wool with U.S. Army Uniform branding.

The AG-344 trousers are tagged as Trousers Men's Polyester Wool AG344 Type I Class 3, contract USA 100-69-C-2071, manufactured by Tennessee Overall Co. Inc., sized Regular W-36 L-34, treated for permanent creasing. A brass Army belt buckle accompanies the trousers.

The khaki dress shirt is tagged Shirt Man's Cotton Polyester Army Tan 446 Type II Class 3, contract DA 100-68-C-0843 by Venture Inc., sized 16.5 x 33, stock number 8405-782-3290. It retains its original olive-drab buttons and shows light age-appropriate wear consistent with genuine issued use.

The enlisted man's AG-44 service cap features a black leather visor and chin strap, a green hatband, and a large gold-tone U.S. Army eagle disc badge centered on the crown, completing this sharp and historically significant Cold War dress package.
