Description

This magnificent pressed glass punch bowl set is a true American treasure, featuring a large footed bowl with scalloped rim and oval medallions depicting the Liberty Bell with draped American flags in frosted relief. The set includes ten matching punch cups, each with a single handle and individual frosted coin medallions alternating between the Liberty Bell design and an 1887 Eagle reverse coin motif, making every cup a miniature museum piece. The bowl separates into two pieces at the pedestal base, which features a dramatic fluted column and a matching scalloped foot, while the underside of the bowl displays a stunning starburst pressed pattern. This is classic American Brilliant-era pressed glass at its finest, likely produced around the time of a national centennial or patriotic commemoration, and the entire set presents in excellent condition with sharp mold detail throughout.
