Description

This handsome Victorian marble-top washstand dates to the late 19th century, circa 1880–1900, and features a beautifully figured walnut case with an attached mirror and carved gallery. The upper mirror is framed by decorative carved details, including floral and geometric motifs, while the cabinet showcases attractive walnut grain, turned side columns, and period brass bail drawer pulls. Its classic proportions and elegant craftsmanship make it a fine example of Victorian bedroom furniture.

The washstand retains its original brown marble backsplash and matching marble work surface, a hallmark of higher-quality Victorian furnishings designed before indoor plumbing became commonplace.
