Frazee is best known as the former owner of the Boston Red Sox, historically remembered for selling Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees — a move that helped spark one of the most legendary dynasties in baseball and what became known as “The Curse of the Bambino.”
This letter is addressed to Norman Light of the Sam H. Harris Theatre in New York City and references the termination of the engagement of "Yes, Yes, Yvette" at the Harris Theatre. Frazee was not only a baseball executive, but also a prominent Broadway producer, and documents relating to his theatre career are highly collectible.
Frazee's bold signature appears clearly at the bottom of the page.
This is a fantastic crossover piece for collectors of baseball history, theatre memorabilia, or early 20th-century American ephemera.
Letter shows expected aging consistent with 97+ years, including minor toning and handling wear. Signature is strong and legible. Housed in a protective sleeve as photographed.
