This vintage Coca-Cola wooden crate is a tall, full-size distribution crate used for transporting glass soda bottles. It measures approximately 17 3/4 inches long, 12 1/4 inches wide, and 12 1/2 inches high. The exterior is painted red and features the classic white “Enjoy Coca-Cola” script, with metal corner banding that reinforces the structure and reflects its utilitarian design.
Crates of this size and configuration are commonly associated with Coca-Cola’s mid-20th-century bottling and delivery system. The taller profile distinguishes it from standard short crates and was designed to accommodate larger glass bottles, including the 26-ounce “Family Size” bottles introduced in the United States in the mid-1950s. These crates were used extensively by local bottlers and distributors to deliver products to grocery stores, service stations, and homes.
The crate shows expected wear from commercial use, including surface wear, scuffs, and interior residue consistent with bottle storage. The divided interior remains intact, and the original branding is still clearly legible. Examples like this are representative of Coca-Cola’s mid-century distribution materials and are often collected for their advertising appeal, industrial construction, and connection to American beverage history.
