Up for auction is a vintage c. 1970 Topper Toys Johnny Lightning "NEW 500 CYCLONE" Racing Track Set (Stock No. 4303). This iconic high-speed racing set features the classic mechanical "Rocket 500" twin-lever actuator base and towering vertical loop track setup.

Set Highlights & Contents:

• Original Box: Features vivid mid-century graphics declaring "The Fastest Track In The World! Cars Go 1500 M.P.H. (In Scale)".
• Original Instruction Sheet: Two-sided step-by-step assembly guide printed by Topper Corporation (Elizabeth, NJ).
• Complete Track Setup: Includes yellow twin-lever actuator base, black track sections, twin vertical loops, "wiggle track," curves, couplers, loop towers, and support stands.
• 3 Original Topper Johnny Lightning Die-Cast Cars:

1.     Custom XKE – Metallic Gold finish, red interior, white-lettered tires.

2.     Custom XKE – Metallic Purple finish, grey chassis, opening hood.

Condition Details:

• Cars: In original played-with condition with light paint wear, minor axle alignment wear, and typical vintage patina on the die-cast undercarriages. All retain their launcher hooks beneath the front axles.
• Track & Plastic Parts: Clean black and yellow plastic pieces in good shape with original tabs intact.
• Paper Instruction Sheet: Complete and readable, with moderate creasing and tears along fold lines.
• Original Box: Shows heavy shelf wear, corner crushing, and a major tear/loss on the top-left edge of the cover art lid, but retains bold color for display.
