Description

This extraordinary limited edition set from Case XX features three individually etched yellow synthetic-handled folding knives, each commemorating a pivotal figure in Cherokee Nation history. The first knife honors Tsali, etched with his portrait and subtitled 'Rebel and Martyr,' while the second bears the name and likeness of John Ross, described as 'Mighty Spokesman for Cherokee Rights.' The third knife celebrates Sequoyah, 'Literary Man of the Cherokee,' the legendary creator of the Cherokee syllabary, with his portrait holding his famous tablet. All three blades are stamped CASE XX SS USA and display individual limited edition serial numbers visible on the bolsters, and the set is housed in a stunning burgundy leatherette presentation tin embossed in gold with the Seal of the Cherokee Nation dated Sept. 6, 1839. The set includes its original Hampton House Studios commemorative Cherokee Heritage poster insert signed by Ben Hampton, and the exterior of the case is marked 'Cherokee Heritage Collection Part II - Case XX Limited Edition.' Condition shows very light surface marks on the blades consistent with display, but the knives remain sharp and collector-worthy.

5. WE ARE NOT MOVERS: Bring adequate help, tools, packing materials, and transportation. Loading assistance may be available for an additional fee.

6. BUYER’S PREMIUM & TAX: A 12% Buyer’s Premium and applicable sales tax will be added to all purchases.

8. EXTENDED BIDDING: Bids placed near closing automatically extend the lot by 3 minutes until bidding stops.
