Description

This is the bed that makes a room bow down. The Collezione Europa king-size four-poster bed frame arrives draped in neoclassical drama, featuring four massive column posts crowned with hand-carved egg-and-dart molding, acanthus leaf capitals, and dentil banding that would make ancient Rome jealous. The headboard and footboard panels are finished in a gorgeous distressed faux-stone fresco finish in warm cream and gold tones, framed by rope-twist and bead molding for maximum visual impact. The solid wood construction is confirmed by the brass maker medallion on the underside, and while some minor veneer chipping is visible on the footboard rail edge and light surface wear is noted on the posts, overall condition is very good for a piece this commanding -- the kind of bed that makes guests stop mid-sentence.
