Straight from the hallowed halls of Annapolis comes this stunning United States Naval Academy dress overcoat, custom tailored by the legendary Jacob Reed's Sons of Philadelphia, fine uniform makers since 1824. The coat is a commanding floor-length double-breasted wool greatcoat in navy black, adorned with eight gleaming gold eagle anchor buttons on the front and two more on the signature back half-belt, plus additional buttons at the cuffs - every one of them dripping with nautical authority. The interior reveals a silk-like black lining with the original gold-embroidered maker label intact, and a period chain loop at the collar for hanging, while the shoulder features remnant stitching consistent with rank insignia previously worn with pride. Condition is as-found and honest - the lower hem and back show white spotting consistent with long storage, the lining shows age-appropriate wear and discoloration at the base, and the collar lapels show minor thread pulls - but the bones, the buttons, and the badge of honor that is that Jacob Reed label are absolutely spectacular for the serious military collector or costume aficionado.

6. BUYER’S PREMIUM & TAX: A 12% Buyer’s Premium and applicable sales tax will be added to all purchases.

8. EXTENDED BIDDING: Bids placed near closing automatically extend the lot by 3 minutes until bidding stops.
