Description

*ITEM IS LOCATED UPSTAIRS IN BEDROOM*

This handsome vintage American rocking chair is built from solid hardwood with a rich warm walnut-toned finish that has developed a lovely patina over the years. The chair features a gracefully shaped crest rail, spindle back, elegantly scrolled open arms with turned supports, a shaped saddle seat, and classically turned front legs and stretchers sitting atop long sweeping rockers. The removable cushion set is upholstered in a striking Jacobean-style large-scale floral print on a cream ground with vivid teal, cobalt blue, goldenrod, green, and burnt orange blooms, and ties securely to the chair back and seat for a snug fit. The wood shows minor surface wear consistent with age and honest use, including light scratching on the arm ends and a small dark spot on the seat, while the cushions remain bright and show minimal soiling, making this a charming and functional piece ready for a reading nook, nursery, or front porch.
