    This classic stave-constructed firkin is the real deal -- a dark walnut-stained sugar bucket made by Cornwall Wood Products of Paris, Maine, stamped proudly on the bottom. The bucket features two bentwood hoops, vertical stave construction, and a graceful bentwood swing handle secured with a wooden peg, all hallmarks of authentic American country craftsmanship. The fitted lid drops snugly into place with its own bentwood rim, keeping whatever secrets -- or sugar -- you care to store perfectly contained. Condition shows honest age-appropriate wear including surface scratches and minor wood darkening, which only adds to its undeniable antique character.
