This handsome "Virginia Maid by Lane" cedar chest does double duty as a storage bench, featuring a gorgeous oak-veneered exterior with raised panel detailing and four ornate antique brass drop bail pulls that give it serious colonial charm. The lift-top lid has been fitted with a plush gray-and-white diamond-pattern upholstered cushion, making it equally at home at the foot of a bed or in an entryway. Inside, the aromatic eastern red cedar lining is clean and fragrant, complete with the original Lane safety lid support, lock mechanism, and the classic $500 moth damage warranty card still tucked inside. Measuring approximately 41 inches wide by 15 inches deep and 17.5 inches tall to the wood (cushion adds a few more inches), this piece is in very good vintage condition with only minor surface wear consistent with its age.
