Description
Up for auction is a Smith & Wesson Model 34-1 .22 LR revolver, a classic small-frame rimfire revolver commonly known as the “Kit Gun.” Built on Smith & Wesson’s compact J-frame, the Model 34 series earned a reputation for excellent accuracy, quality craftsmanship, and versatility for trail, field, and target use.
This example features a 4-inch barrel and attractive blued finish, paired with checkered wood grips that complement the revolver’s classic appearance. Chambered in .22 Long Rifle, it offers minimal recoil and economical shooting, making it ideal for both collectors and range enthusiasts.
Revolver appears to be in good overall condition with normal light handling marks consistent with age and use. The blued finish presents well and the wood grips show nicely. The bore should be inspected via listing photos for rifling and condition.
The Model 34 series was produced from the late 1950s through the early 1990s, with the 34-1 variation introduced after design improvements in the early production years. These revolvers remain highly regarded among collectors and shooters for their balance, accuracy, and classic Smith & Wesson craftsmans
