Description
Here is the revolver that needs no introduction—the Smith & Wesson Model 29-2, chambered in .44 Magnum and dressed in bright stainless steel with enough presence to make the room suddenly quieter. Barrel markings clearly read “44 MAGNUM,” while the frame carries the classic Smith & Wesson Springfield, Massachusetts address and trade mark stamp collectors expect to see. This example features a 6-inch barrel, red ramp front sight, adjustable rear sight, black checkered target-style grips, and a highly reflective finish that still shows beautifully, with only light handling wear and a few scattered spots of oxidation visible near the cylinder and rear frame. The revolver comes housed in a fitted wood presentation case lined in blue velvet, accompanied by original paperwork, brochure material, cleaning rod, and brushes—always a welcome bonus when the accessories stayed home with the firearm all these years. The Model 29 became legendary for good reason: part precision tool, part American icon, and entirely impossible to ignore. A handsome revolver for the serious Smith & Wesson shelf, or for the bidder who already knows exactly why this one matters.
