Description

This gorgeous Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt is a true labor of love, featuring dozens of multicolor pastel hexagon flower medallions set against a crisp white background with a bold turquoise blue border and a charming scalloped edge. Each flower block is composed of a center hexagon surrounded by two rings of petal pieces in soft pinks, yellows, blues, greens, and calico prints, all hand-pieced and hand-quilted in an all-over hexagon pattern that echoes the patchwork design beautifully. Measuring approximately 92 inches wide by 106 inches long, this is a full to queen-size stunner that commands attention on any bed. The backing is a solid light blue fabric with machine-quilted hexagon stitching throughout; a few minor age-related stains are present on the back and border as shown, consistent with honest vintage use, but the front displays wonderfully and the overall structure is sound and intact.
