Description

First up is a classic mid-century aluminum cake carrier with a domed lid, ribbed sides, a black plastic handle, and a locking base plate with ball-catch closures. This workhorse of the American kitchen is all business, built to haul layer cakes across town without losing a single crumb. Solid, functional, and dripping with postwar domestic charm.

Next is a showstopper of a decorative tin cake carrier branded on the base as 'Perfection,' featuring a bold golden ground with ornate red and cream arabesque scrollwork and flame motifs. The lid locks to the base plate via a metal latch clip, and while the interior shows honest wear, the exterior graphics remain vivid and striking. This one was clearly meant to be admired on the way to the church potluck.

Rounding out the lot are two vintage dark steel tube/angel food cake pans with removable bottoms and side clips, stacked together. Both show heavy patina and seasoning from years of use, with the classic center tube design that lets angel food cakes cool upside down without collapsing.
