Offered in this listing is a fantastic set of two authentic vintage American whiskey flask bottles, perfect for glass collectors, spirits historians, or barware displays. The star of the pair is a rare Pre-Prohibition Old Mose "Bottled in Bond" Whiskey Flask, distilled in Fall 1910 and bottled in Spring 1915 by prominent distiller R.E. Wathen for merchant Wm. C. Baass in Louisville, Kentucky. It retains its rare green 100-proof government tax strip over the top as well as its full front label and historic back "Caution Notice" referencing the Act of Congress of 1897. Joining it is a post-WWII 1947 Green River Blended Whiskey Amber Bottle, produced by Schenley Distillers in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, featuring the brand's iconic horseshoe logo and historic slogan "The Whiskey Without Regrets."
Both bottles showcase excellent historical provenance, clear glass-maker markings, and rich patina that only time can produce. The 1915 clear glass flask stands approximately 6.5 inches tall by 3 inches wide and 1.5 inches deep (1/2 Pint / 8 fl oz capacity). The 1947 amber glass bottle stands approximately 8 inches tall by 3.75 inches wide and 2 inches deep(1 Pint capacity), with the base explicitly embossed with the glass mold date code 8 D-9 47.
Condition is consistent with age and authentic historical preservation. The clear Old Mose flask shows surface clouding/soil and expected paper wear to the labels, but retains remarkable intact text and its original green tax strip across the neck. The amber Green River bottle exhibits heavy label wear and tearing along the upper border, but the primary horseshoe graphic, text, and base embossing remain bold and legible. Please review all high-resolution photos for close-up details on label conditions, glass wear, and dimensions prior to bidding.
