Here is a set of four vintage Samsonite folding chairs made by Shwayder Brothers Incorporated, U.S.A. -- the same legendary outfit that built luggage tough enough to park an elephant on. These beauties feature sturdy black tubular steel frames, curved black steel backrests stamped with the iconic Samsonite logo, and padded seats upholstered in a neutral beige woven fabric that has held up remarkably well for their age. The underside of at least one chair retains its original retail price sticker showing Style No. 1776 priced at a jaw-dropping $7.95, with a patent number referencing Detroit -- a genuine mid-century time capsule. The seats are backed with hardboard panels still showing original numbered markings, and the folding mechanism locks open cleanly with that satisfying mid-century click. These chairs have lived a long life and show honest age-appropriate wear including surface scuffs and light soiling, but they remain fully functional and carry the kind of vintage character that no flat-pack chair factory will ever replicate.

5. WE ARE NOT MOVERS: Bring adequate help, tools, packing materials, and transportation. Loading assistance may be available for an additional fee.

6. BUYER’S PREMIUM & TAX: A 12% Buyer’s Premium and applicable sales tax will be added to all purchases.

8. EXTENDED BIDDING: Bids placed near closing automatically extend the lot by 3 minutes until bidding stops.
