This collection features eight vintage Henry McKenna stoneware whiskey jugs, including seven 1/10-pint miniatures and one larger jug fitted with a mid-century brass cigarette lighter. Produced for promotional use by the H. McKenna Distillery of Fairfield, Nelson County, Kentucky, these ceramic jugs were commonly issued in the 1950s–1960s as liquor samplers and branded bar collectibles. Each miniature jug displays the classic blue tulip motif along with “Sour Mash Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey – 86 Proof,” and stands approximately 3⅜ inches tall, complete with original cork stoppers.
The larger jug, measuring 5¾ inches tall, serves as a table lighter and features the same iconic McKenna design. Its removable brass lighter insert is consistent with Japanese-made inserts from the era, often used in novelty liquor-related lighters of the 1950s and early 1960s. Together, the set reflects the branding and marketing style of a well-known Kentucky distillery with deep roots in bourbon history dating back to 1855. This is an attractive group for collectors of whiskey memorabilia, stoneware minis, and mid-century barware.
