This nine-piece weighted sterling silver collection brings together a variety of classic American tableware forms dating from the 1930s to the 1950s. Included are four unmarked pedestal bowls measuring 4 inches wide by 3 inches tall, likely produced between the 1930s–1940s when numerous U.S. silver manufacturers offered similar utilitarian, unbranded weighted forms. These bowls feature rounded rims, traditional footed bases, and a naturally aged patina consistent with mid-century silver.
Also included are two Towle Sterling candleholders, each 3½ x 3½ inches, produced approximately 1940s–1950s. Towle’s weighted sterling hollowware of this era is known for its clean profiles and sturdy construction, which is reflected in these examples. Complementing them is a pair of Webster Company weighted sterling salt and pepper shakers, standing 4½ inches tall, made circa 1930s–1940s. Their classic urn-shaped bodies and pierced removable tops align with Webster’s catalog offerings of that period.
The final piece is a Webster Company weighted sterling bowl, measuring 4 x 3 inches, dating to the 1930s–1940s, and distinguished by its hammered texture and decorative stepped base—an aesthetic Webster used frequently in the early-to-mid 20th century. Together, this collection offers a cohesive grouping of American weighted sterling silver, appealing both for decorative presentation and as a restoration or polishing opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts.
