Antique Cast Iron Rollman Mfg. Co. Cherry Pitter Stoner Mount Joy PA. U.S.A. S31
November 5, 1901, by Michael A. Rollman, this device showcases the ingenuity of American kitchen tool design from that era. Constructed from heavy-duty cast iron, the cherry pitter features a hand-crank mechanism designed to efficiently remove pits from cherries, streamlining the process for home canning and baking. The piece bears the model number S31, indicating its specific design variant. While it exhibits surface rust consistent with its age, the pitter remains in fair working condition, reflecting its durability and the quality craftsmanship of the era. Beyond its functional use, this cherry pitter serves as a charming decorative item, ideal for rustic farmhouse or shabby chic kitchen décor. Its historical significance and vintage aesthetic make it a valuable addition to collections of antique kitchen tools or Americana memorabilia.
