Description

This elegant oval covered entree dish features a domed lid with double loop handles and a mirror-polished finish. The underside bears a label from International Silver Company of Meriden, Connecticut, marked Finest Quality Handcrafted and Hand Inspected, Inspector No. 80. The lid and base nest together beautifully, making it a stunning centerpiece for formal dining. Some light surface spotting consistent with age and storage but overall very presentable condition.

This round silver-plated serving tray by Sheridan features a gorgeous deeply etched floral and scroll pattern across the center field, framed by a beaded rope border. The underside is stamped Sheridan Silverplated with a crown-and-S maker mark. The reflective surface still holds a nice shine despite some expected age-related tarnishing around the rim. A timeless piece that cleans up beautifully with a little silver polish.

This scalloped-edge silver-plated serving bowl presents a classic Queen Anne style with gently lobed rim and a smooth, unadorned interior well. The underside appears to carry an Oneida mark based on the reflected script visible in the photos. There is moderate wear and surface scratching consistent with regular use, but the form remains strong and charming. Perfect for fruit, bread, or display.

This smaller scalloped silver-plated serving dish mirrors the style of the larger bowl above, with a softly lobed rim and plain polished center. It shows a beautiful iridescent tarnish bloom around the rim that gives it tremendous character. No visible maker mark was captured, but the quality of construction suggests a mid-century American silver-plate manufacturer. A great companion piece to round out this versatile lot.
