Description

Three-piece collection of miniature cast-iron pieces featuring an ornate grandfather clock and two small handled skillets. The grandfather clock measures approximately 10 inches tall and is cast with raised floral and scroll decoration across the bonnet, clock case, pedestal, and base. Its round clock face has raised numerals accented in gold with matching gold-colored hands. The back is marked “TAIWAN,” identifying it as a later 20th-century decorative cast-iron miniature.

The larger miniature skillet measures approximately 5 inches across overall including the handle and incorporates two opposing pouring lips. Its underside is hand decorated with a colorful rural scene featuring a covered bridge, horse-drawn buggy, trees, water, and mountains. White painted accents also appear around the exterior sides, giving the piece a folk-art or souvenir presentation.

The smaller skillet measures approximately 3¾ inches overall and has a textured cast exterior with an open-ended handle. The interior carries a raised Great Smoky Mountains National Park design depicting a bear and the wording “GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK.” Together, the three pieces form an interesting group of vintage miniature and souvenir cast iron representing decorative household forms and American travel memorabilia.

4. ABANDONED ITEMS: Items not picked up without prior Auctioneer approval may be considered abandoned and resold, donated, or disposed of without refund.

5. WE ARE NOT MOVERS: Bring adequate help, tools, packing materials, and transportation. Loading assistance may be available for an additional fee.

6. BUYER’S PREMIUM & TAX: A 12% Buyer’s Premium and applicable sales tax will be added to all purchases.

8. EXTENDED BIDDING: Bids placed near closing automatically extend the lot by 3 minutes until bidding stops.
