Why These Proof Sets Matter:
The 1979 U.S. Proof Set holds particular significance as it includes the first year of the Susan B. Anthony Dollar, a coin that has since become a significant piece of American numismatic history. As proof coins, these sets are produced with higher-quality strikes and finishes than regular circulation coins, making them especially prized by collectors.
Having two 1979 Proof Sets allows for added value as both can be displayed or preserved, and offers the opportunity to keep one set in pristine condition while potentially using the other for display or trading. These sets are a beautiful snapshot of U.S. coinage from the late 1970s and are sure to appreciate in value over time.
