Wagner Ware Sidney No. 6 Skillet -- The crown jewel of this lot, this Wagner Ware Sidney No. 6 cast iron skillet shows the iconic raised lettering on the bottom along with a heat ring base, dating it to the early-to-mid 20th century. The cooking surface retains a solid base seasoning with only light rust that will clean up beautifully. The handle is crisp, the casting is clean, and the overall structure is excellent with no cracks or chips. A true collector piece that is also completely ready to restore and cook in.
Unmarked No. 8 Skillet with Heat Ring -- This larger skillet measures approximately 10.5 inches across and features a classic heat ring bottom, strongly suggesting pre-1950s manufacture, possibly Griswold, Wagner, or a regional foundry. The interior shows typical aged patina with some surface rust and carbon buildup, but the casting walls are solid and the pour gate is well-finished. The handle design with a teardrop hanging hole is consistent with American mid-century production. Strip it, season it, and this pan will cook for another hundred years.
Unmarked No. 5 Skillet Marked B No. 5 8.5 IN -- The bottom of this skillet is clearly marked B, No. 5, and 8.5 IN, giving collectors a solid identification starting point. It measures right at 8.5 inches across the cooking surface with a neat heat ring and a graceful arching handle. Condition shows moderate carbon and light rust consistent with age and honest use. A fantastic candidate for the electrolysis tank or a good lye bath and re-season.
Large Wavy-Rim Skillet -- This distinctive piece stands out from the group with its notched or scalloped rim edge, a feature seen on certain older American foundry pieces intended for use with matching lids. The cooking surface is large, approximately 11 to 12 inches, and the pan shows substantial seasoning buildup along with surface rust. No visible maker marks were captured, but the casting style and handle shape point to pre-1960s American manufacture. Unusual and eye-catching, this one is a conversation starter.
Small Unmarked Skillet -- Rounding out the lot is a petite cast iron skillet in the No. 3 to No. 4 size range, featuring the classic teardrop hanging hole handle and a shallow cooking surface. It shows orange surface rust and carbon residue from regular use, but no visible cracks, warping, or damage. The bottom appears to read partial text consistent with older American foundry markings, though fully obscured by grime. A great little egg pan once it gets the restoration treatment it deserves.
