Large early pressed steel toy passenger bus measuring approximately 20 inches long x 5.5 inches wide x 6 inches tall. The bus features a yellow painted body, dark painted roof and fenders, orange painted metal disc wheels, open rectangular passenger windows, a long hood, and a steel undercarriage.
The construction appears to be primarily stamped or pressed sheet steel with tabbed and riveted assembly, metal axles, and separate formed body panels. The design reflects early American motor coach and inter-city passenger bus styling rather than a later school bus form, with its long hood, enclosed passenger body, and open side window layout.
Based on the size, materials, and construction, this piece likely dates to the late 1920s to 1930s. Possible manufacturers include Kingsbury Manufacturing Co., Steelcraft by Murray Ohio, Cor-Cor, Keystone, or another American pressed-steel toy maker from the same period. Kingsbury is a plausible attribution, as the company produced pressed-steel passenger buses during this era, though no visible maker’s mark is shown in the photos.
This piece retains an aged painted surface with visible wear, paint loss, oxidation, and surface patina throughout. Its large scale, early pressed-steel construction, and period bus styling make it a notable example of early 20th-century American toy vehicle production. Measurements: 20" L x 5.5" W x 6" H.
