This spectacular vintage handmade quilt features a stunning Grandmother's Flower Garden design with large circular medallions composed of fan-shaped patchwork pieces in a glorious rainbow of feedsack and Depression-era cotton prints -- florals, plaids, polka dots, stripes, and geometrics all playing together in cheerful chaos. The rich hunter green solid cotton serves as the unifying accent, forming dramatic leaf and petal applique shapes at the center of each medallion as well as bold sashing between the blocks, giving the whole composition a crisp, garden-fresh look. The quilt is finished with a charming scalloped border edging in coordinating green and multicolor prints, though the backing shows some wear, light staining, and fraying along edges consistent with honest age and a life well-loved. This beauty dates most likely to the 1930s or 1940s based on the fabrics, and measures approximately full to queen size -- a true piece of American textile history that deserves a place of honor, not a cedar chest.

6. BUYER’S PREMIUM & TAX: A 12% Buyer’s Premium and applicable sales tax will be added to all purchases.

8. EXTENDED BIDDING: Bids placed near closing automatically extend the lot by 3 minutes until bidding stops.
