Description

This magnificent maroon and gold DeLong Classics varsity letter jacket is a genuine time capsule from one of the most dominant prep football runs of the mid-1960s. Made by the legendary DeLong Sportswear company and sized at a 40, it features a wool body with cream quilted leather sleeves, snap-button front closure, and striped ribbed knit collar, cuffs, and hem that scream classic Americana. The front is loaded with four championship patches telling the whole story: a circular F.J. State Champs 65 baseball patch, a football-shaped 1965 State B Champs patch, a circular 1965-66 Champs patch, and a gold football-shaped 65 Undefeated 66 patch that seals the legend. The large maroon and gold V letter is adorned with gold bar chevrons, crossed baseball bats, and two gold football pins representing multiple varsity sport achievements, while the leather shows beautiful age-appropriate patina consistent with nearly 60 years of well-earned history.
