Description

This multi-piece handcrafted stoneware dinnerware set was created by the renowned American maker M.A. Hadley Pottery (Mary Alice Hadley), featuring the distinctive hand-painted blue and green fruit/berry basket motif. Each piece is signed on the base with the classic hand-painted "M.A. Hadley" mark in cobalt blue glaze. Hadley pottery was first produced in Louisville, Kentucky starting in 1940, and pieces with this classic hand-painted aesthetic and design style typically span production across the mid-to-late 20th century. 

The ensemble includes a comprehensive mix of place settings and serving pieces featuring hand-painted baskets filled with fruit or berries, framed by soft blue trim borders and hand-applied green sponged/dotted accents on a textured stoneware body. The collection includes dinner plates, salad/dessert plates, wide soup/cereal bowls, coffee mugs, and a lidded sugar bowl. Each piece demonstrates the durable stoneware weight and artistic charm characteristic of M.A. Hadley pottery. 

The collection includes a total count of 18 individual pieces with the following measurements provided:

• 5 Dinner Plates: 9 inches in diameter 
• 4 Salad / Dessert Plates: 6.25 inches in diameter (1- Chipped Pictured)
• 5 Bowls: 5.5 inches in diameter by 2 inches in height 
• 3 Coffee Mugs: 4 inches in height by 4 inches in diameter (excluding handle) 
• 1 Lidded Sugar Bowl: 5 inches in height by 4 inches in diameter

1. AS-IS, WHERE-IS: All items are sold as-is with no warranties or guarantees.

2. PAYMENT & PICKUP REQUIRED: Payment is due at auction close. Scheduling a pickup appointment is required before collecting items.

3. MISSED PICKUPS: Failure to pick up during the designated pickup period will result in a $20 fee per item. Additional labor, transportation, storage, delivery, disposal, or handling fees may apply.

4. ABANDONED ITEMS: Items not picked up without prior Auctioneer approval may be considered abandoned and resold, donated, or disposed of without refund.

5. WE ARE NOT MOVERS: Bring adequate help, tools, packing materials, and transportation. Loading assistance may be available for an additional fee.

6. BUYER’S PREMIUM & TAX: A 12% Buyer’s Premium and applicable sales tax will be added to all purchases.

7. SHIPPING & DELIVERY: Available on select items for an additional fee. See auction details.

8. EXTENDED BIDDING: Bids placed near closing automatically extend the lot by 3 minutes until bidding stops.

9. AI-ENHANCED PHOTOS: Primary images may be enhanced for visibility and readability. Items themselves are not altered. Review all photos carefully.

10. AUCTIONEER APPROVAL: Any exception to these terms must be approved in advance by the Auctioneer.
