Description

This oak roll top desk features a traditional tambour-style curved front that retracts smoothly to reveal a fitted interior workspace. The upper section includes multiple small drawers on each side, central vertical letter slots, and a long open shelf beneath, providing organized storage for correspondence and office essentials. The writing surface is broad and rectangular, offering ample workspace, with a centered pencil drawer directly below. The desk measures 48 ½ inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 45 inches tall, giving it a substantial presence suitable for a home office or study.

The interior is fitted with symmetrical drawer banks—two small drawers over a longer drawer on each side—accented with brass pulls and label holders. The central compartment features divided slots for mail or documents, along with a shallow shelf below. The main writing surface shows a classic oak grain pattern consistent with late 20th-century production, and the center drawer includes interior compartment dividers. The tambour door is secured with a brass lock escutcheon and key.

The exterior showcases solid oak construction with pronounced grain throughout, including paneled sides and a framed base cabinet structure. The drawer fronts are carved with a stylized shell or fan motif, adding subtle decorative detail while maintaining a practical design. The finish is a warm medium oak tone, consistent across the base and upper cabinet. Notably, the upper roll top section has never been mounted to the lower base cabinets. This allows the desk to be transported in two separate sections, making relocation significantly easier without altering its original design or functionality. Terms and Conditions

1. All items are sold where is, as is.

2. Once payment is completed for item(s) won, the ability to schedule a pick-up time will become available. Scheduling a pick-up time is required.

3. There will be a $20 fee assessed per item not picked up at that time that will be collected prior to bidding again at our auctions. Unlike retail, we do not have the option to store your item. If the item is larger than a standard suitcase (22" x 14" x 10"), we will charge $50 to the card on file per item to move the item.

4. Please plan accordingly as items not picked up are considered "abandoned". Do not bid if you cant pick up this day.

5. You are responsible for ensuring you collect all items at pickup.

6. Legacy uses "Popcorn" or "Extended" bidding. This means if a bid comes in at the last second, it is extended 3 minutes. This is like a live auctioneer saying, "going once" to ensure all bids are exhausted prior to closing.

7. We charge a 12% flat buyers premium on all items.

8. We charge KY State Tax with the exception of vehicles which is collected at the DMV.

9. You must bring help to pickup any items. We can recommend movers upon request. Also, please bring tools for items that require disassembly.
