This is a genuinely handsome Weiman Heirloom French Provincial end table, model number 253-B404, built when American furniture makers still took pride in every cabriole leg and hand-carved scroll. The two-tier design features a gorgeous cherry wood top with a banded inset panel, an open lower shelf framed on two sides by elegant diamond-pattern wire mesh inserts, and a shapely scalloped apron that swoops between four beautifully carved cabriole legs ending in classic pad feet. Standing approximately 26 inches tall with a tabletop measuring roughly 26 by 28 inches, this piece has the real-deal patina of a well-loved life, including light surface scratches on the top, some finish loss at the corners and edges, and the small wormhole-style speckles consistent with aged cherry veneer. The bones are rock solid, the style is timeless, and a light refinishing would turn this table into the star of any traditionally styled living room.
