Description

Step back into the glory days of serious home audio with this Sony CDP-C205 five-disc CD changer, manufactured in Shimotsuma, Japan in April 1990 and bearing serial number 832783. This sleek black workhorse features a 4x oversampling digital filter, dual D/A converter system, servo stabilizer circuit, and a front-mounted headphone jack with level control dial for private listening sessions that would make any audiophile weep with joy. Play modes include Continue, Shuffle, and Program, while the Time Fade and Repeat functions round out a feature set that was genuinely impressive for its era, and the glowing LED display showing all five disc slots still lights up like it means business. Condition shows honest cosmetic wear consistent with its 35-plus years of existence, including light dust and surface marks on the faceplate, but the bones are solid and this unit connects via standard RCA Line Out stereo outputs at the rear.
