Straight from a U.S. Naval Academy estate comes this authentic M-65 Field Coat with attached hood, contract number DSA 100-69-C-0761, manufactured by Apparel Corp of America under the Vietnam-era procurement program. The label reads loud and clear: X-Large Regular, chest 45 inches and up, height 67 to 71 inches, NSN 8405-782-2945, Coat Man's Field W/Hood, Nylon Cotton Sateen OG-107. Hardware is period-correct throughout, featuring a two-way brass-toothed zipper with a surviving pull, snap-button storm flap, shoulder epaulets with single buttons, and four large cargo-style front pockets with button flaps. Condition shows honest, character-building field use including a faded back panel, some fraying at the interior zipper tape, and the kind of patina that no reproduction can fake, while the shell remains fully intact and structurally sound with no tears or holes observed.
