This spectacular Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt is a true time capsule of American textile history, constructed from hundreds of individually cut and hand-stitched hexagonal patches in a dazzling rainbow of vintage feedsack and cotton prints. Each flower rosette features a distinct center hexagon surrounded by six petals of coordinating fabric, all set against a cream muslin background that gives the design room to breathe — the scalloped hexagon border finishing the edges is a particularly charming touch. Up close, the fabrics tell their own stories: cheerful ginghams, Depression-era florals, bold stripes, novelty prints, and solids in every color of the spectrum, consistent with 1930s-1940s American quiltmaking traditions. 5. WE ARE NOT MOVERS: Bring adequate help, tools, packing materials, and transportation. Loading assistance may be available for an additional fee.

6. BUYER’S PREMIUM & TAX: A 12% Buyer’s Premium and applicable sales tax will be added to all purchases.

8. EXTENDED BIDDING: Bids placed near closing automatically extend the lot by 3 minutes until bidding stops.
