Description

This frosted glass Kentucky Derby souvenir from Churchill Downs dates to 1962, the last winner listed on the glass being Carry Back, making this a legitimate time capsule from the golden age of American horse racing. The front features a beautifully printed illustration of a jockey wearing number 6 aboard a white horse draped in the iconic garland of red roses, with the famous Churchill Downs twin spires visible in the background. The reverse side carries an impressive roll call of Kentucky Derby winners printed in red, spanning from 1904 through 1961, including legends like Whirlaway, Citation, and War Admiral. The frosted glass is in very good vintage condition with vivid color retention on the artwork and crisp, fully legible text throughout the winners list.
