This is the iconic 1981 Strawberry Shortcake metal lunchbox manufactured by Aladdin Industries of Nashville, Tennessee under license from American Greetings Corporation. The front panel bursts with a charming tea party scene featuring the gang in all their fruity glory, while the back showcases a berry stand market scene equally packed with character. The exterior sides and top display a lovely pink and white lattice pattern adorned with strawberry vines and bumblebees, and the original red plastic handle remains intact and sturdy. The lunchbox shows honest age-appropriate wear including paint chipping along the red border edges, surface scratches, and some interior rust spotting at the seams, plus a hand-scratched name reading 'Michelle Jacks' on the lid rim and marker writing on the front panel, giving this piece genuine schoolyard provenance.
