This Corning Ware 10-inch square skillet features the classic Cornflower Blue pattern, displaying three blue cornflowers with accompanying leaves centered on a white ground. The clean white Pyroceram body is framed by gently flared sides and integrated tab-style handles. The underside is marked “Corning Ware 10 IN. P-10-B Made in U.S.A.” with the blue sunburst/star logo above the brand name.
The Cornflower Blue pattern was introduced in 1958 as Corning Ware’s first decorative design and remained in production for several decades, becoming the company’s most widely recognized motif. The blue stamp and medallion-style logo seen on this example are characteristic of production from approximately the 1960s to early 1970s. The skillet is constructed of Pyroceram, Corning’s durable glass-ceramic material engineered to withstand rapid temperature changes and suitable for oven and stovetop use.
This example measures approximately 10 inches across and is model number P-10-B. It was manufactured in the United States and retains its original decoration and form. The piece is offered without its glass lid, consistent with many surviving examples of this versatile mid-century kitchen staple
