This vintage silverplate flatware service was produced by the International Silver Company under the 1847 Rogers Bros. brand. The collection features the elegant "Daffodil" pattern, introduced in 1950, which is distinguished by sculpted daffodil blossoms and sweeping stem-like contours along the handles. The set comes presented in a dark wooden storage chest featuring an anti-tarnish dark brown felt-lined interior with a "Reed & Barton Tarnish Proof Cloth" maker's emblem.
The backs of the stems are clearly stamped with the maker's mark "1847 ROGERS BROS. IS" along with the pattern name "Daffodil". Introduced during the post-WWII home entertaining boom, "Daffodil" remains one of the most recognizable mid-century floral silverplate designs created by International Silver. The 50-piece service provides place settings along with master serving utensils including a sugar shell spoon, butter knife, and serving spoons.
