Description

This vibrant lithographed metal wastebasket is a certified time capsule from 1969, produced by Cheinco (Made in USA) to celebrate the theatrical release of the animated film "A Boy Named Charlie Brown." One side features Charlie Brown in his baseball pitcher gear standing on the mound, sweating it out with his trademark speech bubble declaring "Good Grief! I'm a Star!!" while the opposite side showcases Snoopy dressed as the "Head Beagle" wearing sunglasses and holding a megaphone, flanked by Lucy in her orange dress and Charlie Brown, with the bubble reading "Ready... On the Set!!" -- a true Hollywood moment for the Peanuts gang. The bottom bears the embossed Cheinco Made in USA manufacturer's mark, and the side panel carries a printed Schulz facsimile signature along with the caption "Stars of the Movie 'A Boy Named Charlie Brown.'" Condition shows honest age-appropriate wear including light surface scratches, minor paint loss near the rim, and oxidation on the interior metal, but the exterior lithography remains bold, bright, and display-ready -- a must-have for serious Peanuts and Schulz memorabilia collectors.
