    Description

    This fine sterling silver flatware collection was crafted by the renowned Gorham Manufacturing Company in the iconic "Strasbourg" pattern. Designed in 1897 by William C. Codman, "Strasbourg" draws inspiration from the lush, ornate decorative arts of the French Rococo period, featuring sweeping scrollwork, shell motifs, and graceful contours along the handle. Gorham, founded in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1831, was one of America's premier silversmiths, and this timeless late 19th-century pattern remains one of their most celebrated and enduring designs.

    The collection comprises 58 total pieces arranged across place settings and specialized serving pieces. The solid sterling elements include table forks, salad forks, teaspoons/table spoons, specialty forks, specialty serving spoons/ladles, a serving fork, two large serving spoons, and a master butter knife.
