Description
This exceptional lot of 5 James Wyeth Franklin Mint Solid Sterling Silver Etched Collector Plates features a complete five-piece limited edition collection showcasing the celebrated artwork of renowned American artist James Wyeth. Produced by The Franklin Mint during the 1970s, these beautifully crafted plates feature finely detailed etchings of Wyeth's distinctive rural American landscapes, wildlife, and historical scenes. The collection includes "Skating on the Brandywine" (1972), "Riding to the Hunt," "Winter Fox" (1973), "Brandywine Battlefield" (1976), and "Along the Brandywine" (1972). Each plate is crafted from solid sterling silver, with the five plates weighing approximately 945 grams total as stated for this lot. The reverse of the plates features identifying inscriptions, including the artist's name, limited edition designation, and individual serial numbering, with serial number 2939 documented in the accompanying photographs. Two plates are presented in attractive wooden display frames, while the remaining three are displayed separately. The collection also includes five handsome brown leather-look presentation albums with decorative gold lettering and coordinating documentation, including certificates of authenticity.
