Description
This Hi-Standard Supermatic Trophy Military Model arrives with the kind of presentation that immediately catches a collector’s eye—complete with its original maroon-and-gold factory box, yellow fitted insert, and matching accessory compartment still labeled “For Accessories and Ammunition.” The pistol is marked “SUPERMATIC TROPHY” and “MILITARY MODEL,” chambered in .22 Long Rifle, with the box end label identifying it as catalog no. 9248, Supermatic Trophy 7 1/4” Military Model. The long heavy barrel, adjustable rear sight, crisp blued finish, and checkered walnut target-style grips give it that unmistakable competition-era High Standard profile collectors continue to chase. Markings for High Standard and Hamden, Connecticut remain visible, while the finish appears strong overall with light handling wear and bright edge reflections. The original box shows age, shelf wear, corner rubbing, and label loss, but still delivers the full vintage counter-display feel that makes complete examples so appealing. This is the sort of .22 target pistol that looks like it spent its best years punching tight groups and being admired afterward—an excellent addition for the bidder who knows that sometimes the box matters almost as much as the pistol inside.
