This cheerful vintage handmade comforter is a true scrap-lover's dream, pieced together from a kaleidoscope of multicolored fabrics in a Cathedral Windows-style block pattern featuring diamond centers surrounded by rounded octagonal frames in every color of the rainbow. Each block is hand-tied with white yarn knots, giving it that classic homemade warmth that no machine can replicate, and the binding is a crisp blue-and-white stripe that wraps the edges in a tidy finish. The backing is a bright turquoise blue-and-white ticking stripe fabric, also hand-tied through to the front, with some minor staining visible on the reverse as shown in the photos — honest vintage character, not dealbreakers. Measuring approximately 108 inches wide and 102 inches long, this generous comforter is large enough for a queen or king bed and is a standout piece of American folk textile tradition. The fabric is total 1970s throwback of Polyester.

4. ABANDONED ITEMS: Items not picked up without prior Auctioneer approval may be considered abandoned and resold, donated, or disposed of without refund.

5. WE ARE NOT MOVERS: Bring adequate help, tools, packing materials, and transportation. Loading assistance may be available for an additional fee.

6. BUYER’S PREMIUM & TAX: A 12% Buyer’s Premium and applicable sales tax will be added to all purchases.

8. EXTENDED BIDDING: Bids placed near closing automatically extend the lot by 3 minutes until bidding stops.
