Description

ELKHORN REFLECTIONS - The star of this collection, this large watercolor reproduction depicts a dreamy, light-dappled creek scene bursting with lush green foliage and shimmering water. Housed in an ornate gold carved frame with linen mat, the back bears a detailed biographical label from Fox Grove Gallery, a hand-signed authentication by William H. Tiffany, and documentation noting this piece as part of the collection of Edmund H. Taylor. Paul Sawyier Galleries, Inc. of Frankfort, Kentucky certifies this as one of a limited edition of 6,000 reproductions from the original watercolor.

THE OUTER HOUSE - A warm and luminous watercolor reproduction showcasing a white cottage perched dramatically on a rocky hillside surrounded by summer trees. Framed in a classic gold stepped frame with double mat, this piece carries a Paul Sawyier Galleries authentication card signed by Joseph K. Decker in 1972, confirming it as one of 6,000 in the edition with all original plates destroyed.

FORKS OF ELKHORN TURNPIKE - A lyrical and atmospheric watercolor reproduction capturing the golden afternoon light along the famous Elkhorn Turnpike east of Frankfort, Kentucky. The Paul Sawyier Galleries authentication on the reverse, dated 1975, certifies this as one of a limited edition of 6,000, with a Paul Sampson Art Gallery label also affixed. The scene radiates Sawyier's mastery of light and shadow in the Kentucky countryside.

HOME IN THE COUNTRY - A peaceful rural vignette featuring white outbuildings, a wooden fence, and dense summer foliage rendered in soft warm tones. This smaller reproduction is labeled on the back with the title and catalog code PSHC1, attributed to Paul Sawyier, and presented in a gold stepped frame with double mat consistent with the Paul Sawyier Galleries edition series.

WINTER IN KENTUCKY - A moody and evocative winter landscape in cool blue-grey tones depicting bare trees reflected in still water with a dock in the foreground. Labeled on the reverse as WINTER IN KENTUCKY, PS7, this reproduction captures the quiet solitude of a Kentucky winter with Sawyier's characteristic impressionistic touch, framed in a matching gold rope-detail frame with cream mat.
