Description

This classic open-face spinning fishing reel was manufactured in France by Mitchell and distributed under the Garcia Mitchell brand name. Finished in iconic glossy black enamel housing, the reel features an egg-shaped gear side plate clearly script-stamped with "Garcia Mitchell 300" in silver trim. The reel is constructed with an aluminum alloy body, a full wire bail arm, an anti-reverse lever switch on the housing, a classic three-point drag adjustment knob on the front spool, and a folding silver-tone crank handle with a black torpedo knob. 

First introduced in 1939 and produced through the late 20th century, the Mitchell 300 is widely regarded as one of the most famous and widely produced spinning reels in angling history. Made in France, it became legendary among freshwater anglers for its smooth gearing, durable metal construction, and reliable line retrieval performance. The underside of the foot stem features an embossed "Made in France" marking.

8. EXTENDED BIDDING: Bids placed near closing automatically extend the lot by 3 minutes until bidding stops.
