This charming pair of Goebel Hummel figurines features two of the most beloved designs: Apple Tree Boy (#142) andApple Tree Girl (#141). Each piece measures 6 inches tall and beautifully captures the innocence and playfulness of childhood, with the boy perched on a tree branch adorned with apples and the girl seated among flowering blossoms. Both figurines include the signature Goebel craftsmanship, hand-painted details, and warm expressions that have made Hummels cherished collectibles worldwide.
Produced in West Germany during the TMK-5 era (1979–1990), these figurines carry the Goebel W. Germany stamp along with a decorator’s mark dated “De 81.” One figurine also bears the handwritten signature of Wolfgang Maw, dated 1.11.91, adding a layer of collector interest and uniqueness to the set. These markings not only confirm authenticity but also provide a glimpse into their history as part of Goebel’s traditional production line.
The Apple Tree Boy and Girl are often displayed as a complementary pair, making them highly desirable for collectors and admirers of Hummel artistry. Their delightful design, with colorful detailing and playful birds perched in the branches, makes them equally suited for display as a centerpiece or as part of a larger Hummel collection. This set represents both the artistry of Goebel and the timeless appeal of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel’s original sketches
