Description
This is the iconic 1968 Mattel Barbie Family House, a fold-out vinyl and cardboard playset that screams late-1960s mod style in every vivid inch. The exterior panels feature illustrated graphics of Barbie, Ken, and friends in bold orange, pink, black, and yellow, while the interior opens to reveal a foyer with a black-and-white op-art wallpapered entryway, a Carnaby St. kitchen wing, and a living room with orange striped walls, printed art, and a chandelier graphic. The pink molded plastic rooftop, brass snap hardware, and fabric-covered panels are all present and holding their structure well with age-appropriate wear. Included with the house is a remarkable collection of accessories: a yellow drop-leaf dining table with four rush-seat chairs, two printed floor rugs (blue and orange), a black single bed with fabric mattress, two miniature record players (one blue MGM-labeled, one brown Barbie Dot-labeled), multiple brown suitcases with travel stickers reading Spain, London, and Steффie, and two small brown television sets. The copyright reads 1968 Mattel Inc., Made in U.S.A., and a U.S.A. flag shield sticker decorates the foyer floor, adding a patriotic finishing touch to this wildly collectible time capsule.

6. BUYER’S PREMIUM & TAX: A 12% Buyer’s Premium and applicable sales tax will be added to all purchases.

8. EXTENDED BIDDING: Bids placed near closing automatically extend the lot by 3 minutes until bidding stops.
